INTRO TO GENDER & SEXUALITY 

An introduction to LGBTIQA+ terminology and experiences. During this training you will explore barriers experienced by the LGBTIQA+ community, listen to real life examples of LGBTIQA+ inclusion and learn how to be an effective ally.

Our workshops are delivered by trained presenters with a personal lived experience and play an active role in LGBTIQA+ advocacy.

  • An introduction to LGBTIQA+ terminology

  • Understanding of gender, sex and sexuality

  • Evidence-based examples of barriers faced by LGBTIQA+ people

  • Practical tools to support and celebrate LGBTQIA+ people and clients

  • Real-life stories and shared lived experiences

  • How to be an effective ally

  • Resources, links and further support
